Day Seven: Christmas Cocktails
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I have been so excited for this post! I may not be able to enjoy a stiff drink at the moment (and to be honest, I actually haven’t felt like one) but I can still appreciate one, or, the idea of one. I had planned to make all of these and take photos and all of that, but 1. they would all go to waste because I can’t drink them, 2. some of them include spirits that I don’t have and 3. this is a great opportunity to acknowledge my fellow creatives and bloggers who came up with these festive drinks!

First up, from My Diary of Us is the Plum and Thyme Prosecco Smash!
PureWow has you covered with their Hot Buttered Rum (or as they call it “the grown-up’s alternative to hot chocolate) which will give you Harry Potter feels – well, it does for me at least.
I stumbled across the STUNNING blog. Wholesome Patisserie, when I was searching for the best Eggnog recipe and was so pleased to discover that its creator is Australian!
Old Fashioned‘s are my drink. Everyone who knows me, knows this about me. They are the perfect cocktail for every holiday, season, celebration and life. Pete’s and my absolute FAVOURITE bourbon is Woodford Reserve, and so when I found this recipe from Kitchen Swagger, I knew it was the one I needed to post.
From Kansas City, Missouri, we have a Cinnamon Rosemary Old Fashioned from Salted Plains that is everything I ever want at Christmas. I think that the Old Fashioned is perfect as it is, but just for a little bit of extra Christmas spirit (notice the pun), this recipe is heaven.
This next STUNNING cocktail is from Floating Kitchen. The Grapefruit and Sage Champagne Cocktail is utterly gorgeous and seriously photogenic. Take photos THEN consume.
One cocktail that has always been a staple for Mum and I whenever we closed the cafe over Christmas and New Year was the ol’ favourite mojito. So I thought that this White Christmas Mojito from Half Baked Harvest was the perfect mix of summer memories and Christmas spirit!
Next up we have the Cinnamon Roll Cocktail from Farm Wife Drinks which is the most simple, easy-to-make cocktail I could ever dream of, consisting of only two ingredients (plus ice). And anything that tastes like cinnamon rolls is FINE BY ME. (Also, apparently Fireball whiskey mixed with classic creaming soda tastes like a cinnamon roll as well!)
For Christmas morning, I can’t think of what would go with my famous lemon sugar pancakes than these Christmas Morning Mimosas from How Sweet Eats! So pretty. So festive. So Christmas.
And finally, the Sriracha Bloody Mary from White on Rice Couple. I only tried my first Bloody Mary at the beginning of this year and it changed EVERYTHING. I freaking love them. Perfect for something a bit different for a Christmas Day Barbeque in the sun!
